• 用途三:氯磺酸用于合成杀螨剂三氯杀螨砜的中间体2，4，5-三氯苯磺酰氯，并用于合成糖精和磺胺药品，也用于制造洗涤剂、离子交换树脂、塑料、染料中间体的磺化剂等，军事上用作烟幕剂。

• 方法三:氯磺酸在制备上分为气相和液相两种方法：1.气相法：将三氧化硫和氯化氢两种气体导入反应器內起化合作用，经过冷卻后即凝结为氯磺酸，这种方法适宜于大量制备，因设备需要特种材料，投资较大。2.液相法：利用粗制氯磺酸或浓硫酸作母液，先将三氧化硫通入母液內吸收，然后再通以氯化氢，使两种气体在液相內起化学作用，生成氯磺酸。此法可以进行小規模制备
