- 用途:皮蝇硫磷对多种害虫有很好的杀虫效果,兼具动物内吸和熏蒸作用。一般在驱虫上主要是利用动物内吸。由于蒸气压高，因此本品对卫生害虫，如家蝇很效，可以放在开口的容器内保存12-16周有效。同时因毒性低，可用于食品加工厂灭蝇，此外，使用本品熏蒸可有效防治粮食害虫。对农业害虫如麦杆蝇，防治效果与敌百虫相似，对小菜蛾的防治交果可达94.5%。
- 易溶于于丙酮，四氯化碳，乙醚，氯仿等，难溶于水，在中性和酸性介质中稳定，但在碱性介质中易水解失去杀虫活性
- 生产方法:由 2,4,5-三氯苯酚与O,O-二甲基硫代磷酰氯缩合而得。将2,4,5-三氯苯酚，25%氢氧化钠加入反应锅内，搅拌，加热至50-60℃，使其全部溶解。冷至45℃，滴加O，O，-二甲基硫代磷酰氯，滴完后在45℃搅拌10min。升温至65℃，维持20min。冷至40℃，加入10%氢氧化钠溶液。继续冷却，析出皮蝇硫磷结晶，在13.5-14.5℃时过滤。依次用水，0.75%（体积）盐酸溶液，水洗涤，得粗品。用乙醇重结晶，得白色成品，收率约95%。
